| On April 15th, 1984, at Belle Isle
(city island park) in Detroit, MI, Aaron T. Harris,
along with a crew totaling 25, people set a worlds record
for flying TRLBY stunt kites.
The event was sponsored by Skyline Kite Shop and TRLBY Products,
Inc. and was coordinated by Denise Cariini.
The crew set out with a train 74 kites long, assembled in three
large sections the night before. The morning of the scheduled flight
brought rain and no wind, but the fliers kept their energy focused
on the goal and, sure enough, the elements cooperated.
On the ninth attempt, Aaron was able to successfully fly 59 TRLBY's
for over five minutes, the required time. According to
Bob Miletti of TRLBY the record had been 54 kites flown in England.
Mr. Harris flew the 59 for 5 minutes and 23.5 seconds and successfully
looped them in |

and there was also local press coverage.
Three weeks later, on May 6, armed with the experience, the
group of flight aides and Aaron Harris aet out to fly all 74.

whole train under control for six minutes and 12 seconds and
